Directing the Boys?

More rumours being raked up by Collider, and I love them for it.
The movie adaptation of one of the few on-going comics I follow—The Boys—may have a director. The one chosen seems a bit odd, as it is Adam MacKay, who directed Anchorman (classic!) among other Will Ferrell vehicles. Maybe not a match made in heaven, but I’m willing to wait and see.
There’s the possibility that MacKay will not even do this. The rumour is based on an off-hand remark. There’s the possibility that he will do it and be either good or acceptable. Then, of course, there’s the chance it’ll suck.
But, seriously, super-powered CIA thugs who fuck up superheroes for a living? How can you mess that up?
Oh, right—Hollywood. Nevermind.
